15th September 2012, IGAD Sheikh Technical Veterinary School (ISTVS), an affiliate of Makerere University opened its doors to its 9th intake of students for the academic year 2012/2013.

15th September 2012, IGAD Sheikh Technical Veterinary School (ISTVS), an affiliate of Makerere University opened its doors to its 9th intake of students for the academic year 2012/2013. The students were selected after a vigorous recruitment campaign which culminated in the administration of an entrance exam in 8 examination centers covering most of the IGAD member states countries.

To date students have enjoyed through the orientation process, familiarizing themselves with the various activities and facilities so as to enable them settle down and adjust to their new lives. For the next 3 months, they will follow the foundation course, introducing them to ISTVS’ student-centered methodology while refreshing their memories on aspects of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Information technology and English that are relevant to their Diploma studies. Meanwhile students from Years 2 and 3 began their first Semester in their respective years of study. ISTVS welcomes all students to the new academic year and looks forward to a fruitful year of learning together.
