ISTVS Alumni Success story – BecA –ILRI fellowship achievement
ISTVS is pleased to announce that one of our Alumni Abdirahim Mohammed Ahmed has won a seven months ‘The Biosciences eastern and central Africa-International Livestock Research Institute’ (BecA-ILRI) Hub fellowship. Abdirahim graduated from ISTVS in the year 2009 and was sponsored by IGAD to pursue his degree in Veterinary Medicine at Makerere University, Uganda. After completing his degree, he came back to ISTVS for a one-year internship and after that joining the University of Nairobi where he is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in zoonotic diseases.
BecA-ILRI is a shared agricultural research and biosciences platform located at and managed by ILRI in Nairobi, Kenya. The platform increases access to world class laboratories for African and international scientists conducting research on African agricultural challenges.
