A look in to ISTVS

ISTVS is a regional institution located in Sheikh, in the highlands of the Sahil region (Somaliland). Its vision is to be the premier regional institution and centre of excellence in human capacity building to promote drylands and livestock development in arid and semi-arid land management. The school’s mission is strengthen IGAD member states skills and human resource base for pastoralist ’increased resilience capacity in its arid and semi-arid lands.

A well-established tertiary education institution, ISTVS operates with modern academic facilities within a state-of-the-art socially interactive environment.

Affiliated to Makerere University (Uganda), University of Nairobi (Kenya) and Mekelle University (Ethiopia), ISTVS has built strong institutional and academic links with peer institutions of higher learning both within the region and at international level.
